Investing is not a one-size-fits-all solution. We don’t know why you’re investing until we get to know you. That’s what the Discovery phase is all about—getting to know you. We will work with you to paint as complete a picture as possible of your current financial situation, your values, family, and any life changes coming down the road. This lays the groundwork for the next three steps.
Once we have painted a complete picture of your finances, we step back to see how it looks and where we feel improvements can be made. We evaluate your investments and exposure to risk. We review your financial and risk management strategies. If we see something that’s off, we’ll recommend changes to more closely align your investment strategy with your financial goals. Depending on how deep you want us to go, we may also analyze your assets, liabilities and cash flow, current insurance coverage, investments, and/or tax strategies.
The groundwork of the Discovery and Analysis phases helps us develop and present you with an informed, thorough plan. Once you’re comfortable with it, we go to work implementing and coordinating with other professionals on your team. For instance, we may work on your plan documents with your attorney to ensure you and your family are protected.
Markets change, and so do you. For that reason, we don’t just “set it and forget it” when it comes to your plan. We continually monitor the markets, your portfolio, and the latest strategies to make sure your investments remain aligned with your financial plan. You stay informed through regularly scheduled meetings and updates. And if you ever want to discuss your investments, we’re just a phone call or email away.
